NavHealth Selects RxREVU to Deliver Prescription Decision Support to ACOs
November 5, 2015
DENVER, Nov. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — NavHealth announced that it has selected RxREVU, the Prescription Intelligence company, to enrich its portfolio of clinical insights at the point of care. NavHealth helps accountable care organizations (ACO) manage third-party application implementations and data channels across their electronic health record (EHR) systems. If a health system wants to deliver additional point-of-care tools to their physicians, NavHealth establishes the proper data connections to do so.
Healthcare data sharing platform, NavHealth, makes it easy for analytics products, like those created by RxREVU, to drive adoption quickly inside of a health system. The heavy lifting of propagating HIPAA-compliant data feeds to exam rooms is accomplished by NavHealth’s highly interoperable platform. RxREVU will be enriching the NavHealth platform with advanced medication data and analytics.
RxREVU surfaces formulary, outcomes and adherence data, along with clinical protocols and predictive analytics unique to every patient. The application arms physicians with the insight they need to succeed in a value-based economic model, at the time when they need prescription decision support most: the point of prescribing. By using the platform, providers can deliver optimal medications to improve patient outcomes, manage costs of care, and improve HEDIS measures and Star Ratings, which drive bonus payments from Medicare. Additionally, clinical leaders can disseminate clinical protocols and deliver hard-wired communication directly to the exam room.
Aneesh Chopra, co-founder of NavHealth and former CTO of the United States, said “Launching data communication channels at the point of care on behalf of value-based services like RxREVU is critical as physicians shift away from fee-for-service payment models, while also managing patient pain caused by catastrophic pharmacy price increases. The current challenges with interoperability among the EHR market also lend to the need for consolidated data streams that can still serve a-la-carte functionality in real-time. We are pleased to offer RxREVU’s Prescription Intelligence as a value-add to our customers’ existing workflows.”
In addition to working to deploy throughout NavHealth’s ACO partners, RxREVU is in process of finalizing integrations of their customizable point-of-care tool, SwiftRx, with leading EHR vendors Cerner and Epic.
We’re empowering health systems and patients to make better use of personal health data. NavHealth supports health systems contracting for population health to better engage patients in the safe, secure collection and use of health data to inform better health decisions. We enable patients to share health data that is accessible to them, by HIPAA right from a growing number of providers, with trusted health systems to paint a more complete picture of the patient’s journey, and to engage them in making better health decisions.
